Camborne sits at the heart of the old Cornish mining district, and its housing reflects that heritage - dense terracing, older stock, and a high proportion of properties where damp and condensation have become structural issues rather than cosmetic ones. I cover Camborne and the surrounding TR14 area, including Pool and Illogan.

Hayle sits at the neck of the Penwith peninsula, and I pass through it on most days working across the area. Response times are quick and callout costs are at the lower end of the range. The town has a mix of older terraces, 1970s–90s estates, and new-build properties - each with its own set of electrical characteristics.

Marazion is Cornwall's oldest chartered town - and a large proportion of the housing stock reflects that. It's a short drive from my base in Longrock, which keeps callout costs down and response times up. A lot of the work in Marazion involves holiday lets requiring EICR compliance, older properties needing rewires, and the occasional consumer unit upgrade in a property where the electrics haven't been touched in decades.

Newlyn is one of the oldest parts of the Penzance area, with a tight grid of granite-built terraces that run from the harbour up the hillside. I've worked in these streets regularly - the combination of old housing stock, narrow lanes, and the fishing trade means there's always electrical work to do. Being based in Longrock means I'm never far away.

Penzance is the main town in Penwith and where most of my work is concentrated. It's a short drive from my base in Longrock, which keeps callout times fast and costs down. The town has a wide spread of property types - Victorian townhouses, Georgian terraces, basement flats, and modern estates on the outskirts - along with a large private rental sector that generates steady demand for EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, and compliance work year-round.

St Ives has more holiday lets per square mile than almost anywhere else in Cornwall - which means a steady demand for EICRs, compliance certificates, and the kind of responsive electrical work that keeps bookings on track. I cover the whole TR26 area, including Carbis Bay, Lelant, and St Erth.

St Just is the westernmost town in mainland Britain, and it feels like it. The housing stock is predominantly granite, the terrain is exposed, and the older properties have typically received minimal electrical investment over the years. I cover the whole TR19 area, including Sennen, Cape Cornwall, Botallack, and the villages of the western cape.
